Race Analysis: Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere
Preview for the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere
The prestigious juvenile colts race pits leading French two-year-olds against a strong runner from Aidan O’Brien. Undefeated Graffard’s Rayif along with Head’s Nighttime compete against Ballydoyle’s Puerto Rico from Ballydoyle. Rayif claimed the Prix Francois Boutin during his previous outing, whereas Nighttime, holding a 3-from-4, is also a Group Three winner, having secured the Prix La Rochette over this same venue in early September. The O’Brien contender was busier compared to the others and got off the mark recently in his most recent outing, winning the Group Two Champagne Stakes. Although not the favourite for a Ballydoyle horse , but one of the top choices underperformed, he stands as a strong 9-2 chance among the bookmakers. A Bit Of Spirit, which took the Solario Stakes following a four-way photo, is also merits inclusion in the lineup, as does the Appleby-trained Time To Turn, winner of a Listed race on the Ascot track back in July.

VICTORY FOR DIAMOND NECKLACE IN THE GROUP ONE PRIX MARCEL BOUSSAC! 🏆
Race Analysis: Prix Marcel Boussac
Preview for the Prix Marcel Boussac
After a four-year run between 2018 and 2022 where the Boussac winner did not register further success, the French premier contest for juvenile fillies has regained a little form in recent years including Blue Rose Cen and Opera Singer each achieving Group One wins as three-year-olds and last year’s runner-up, which was edged out by her outsider from the same yard following being an odds-on favourite, claimed the Poule d’Essai des Pouliches during the spring. Green Spirit (unbeaten), unbeaten from four races featuring a Group Three win on this course in her latest race, heads the local challenge today and ranks first in the Timeform ratings. Yet Aidan O’Brien’s Diamond Necklace remains unbeaten – from two races – , so is expected to offer a tough challenge. She claimed a Listed race at the Curragh last month and success for this offspring of the stallion St Mark’s Basilica would also be a big moment for the stallion. Between them, the leading pair in the market represent nearly 70% of the market, though there are additional entrants that deserve some consideration. Ozone remains unbeaten in two, though at relatively minor tracks, recently winning a Listed race at Lyon. Meanwhile, from Karl Burke Aylin won a Group Two in Doncaster most recently and the trainer could not be performing better.
PICK: DIAMOND NECKLACE
